Mic "The Hunter" - I was inducted into the book club in 1996 when a previous member stopped serving Scotch at the meetings.  Eager to fill his role, I had the idea of rating the Scotch we consumed instead of the book we were reading.  As of late, we have been serving the Scotch "blind" and decanted and not knowing the particulars makes the rating process much more fun.  I'm not considered an avid reader but I read more than most, which isn't saying a lot.  I tend to prefer science fiction with Dan Simmon's Hyperion series the absolute best.   Favorite Scotch; hands down, Laphroig.  I seem to be the only one who admittedly likes the more peatier Scotches.  That is why "I Stand Alone" on the web site opening photo.  Since then a couple of members have moved closer to me if not to stand by me.  (I told them so!!)
